The Interim Operations Manager will help support the Operations Manager in successful execution of organizational operations including; office and space management, purchasing, inventory, and data systems. They will also support the Operations Manager and the COO with the move of the metro offices which will include vendor relations, tracking and maintaining move timeline, office organization, clean up and packing, along with various other activities to support the move. The Interim Operations Manager is a member of the organization’s Operations team. When the Operations Manager is on leave, the Interim Operations Manager will take over the role of Operations Manager, their job duties, and supervise the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.

This position applies in-depth educational expertise and experiences to ensure training, program materials, and coaching are developed and delivered effectively to all Reading Corps implementers (i.e., AmeriCorps members and their coaches and trainers).  The position will report to the Chief Learning Officer, as part of a broader team of education and research experts.  Additional responsibilities will include supporting innovative pilot initiatives in cooperation with partner organizations.

Implementation quality is a critical factor for the ongoing success and growth of the Reading Corps program. Implementation encompasses many aspects: program management, coaching, training (initial and ongoing), high-quality reference/support materials, and strategic scaling of innovative and core programming. The Literacy Specialist plays a central role in providing PreK and/or K-3 literacy content expertise in the leadership and day-to-day implementation of the California Reading Corps program. As part of this position, the Literacy Specialist serves as an external “master coach” to provide onsite technical supervision and coaching to participating schools, working to support implementation and ensure fidelity to the program model. This position will also support schools in data-based decision making to ensure students are making progress in developing their literacy skills. The Literacy Specialist is responsible for supporting systems and processes to maximize implementation, while also providing an exceptional service experience for our AmeriCorps members and partnering schools and/or organizations. This position may also direct the work of additional local master coach(es).

The Program Manager will facilitate program implementation and execution within a specific geographic area to ensure all stakeholders have an exceptional experience. The Program Manager will conduct outreach, implement recruitment strategies, and interview/hire AmeriCorps members. The Program Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and sustaining effective relationships with key site contacts including principals and/or superintendents, school district and/or agency staff, to ensure successful program implementation and site engagement. Additionally, the Program Manager maintains and cultivates relationships with placed Reading Corps and Math Corps tutors and community stakeholders. The Program Manager provides service sites the training, coaching and technical support necessary to ensure successful implementation of Reading Corps and Math Corps with high fidelity to the model and successful completion of each tutor’s term of service.
